Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 January 2026. This policy explains what personal data vauberrychippery.com collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and what you can require us to do about it.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Vauberry Digital Media Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14829376, with its registered office at 27 Harborne Court, Unit 4, Manchester, M2 5LP, United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, we are the data controller for personal data processed through this site. Our data protection contact is reachable at [email protected].
2. What we collect
We deliberately collect as little as possible. There is no account system, no newsletter paywall and no advertising network embedded in these pages.
- Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, chosen subject, any travel dates you mention and the content of your message.
- Technical log data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp. These are generated automatically whenever any website is loaded.
- Cookie and consent data. Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser. If you consent to analytics, an aggregated measurement cookie records which pages and route guides are viewed.
We do not knowingly collect special category data, financial data or data relating to children. Please do not include passport numbers, booking references or payment details in a message to us — we have no use for them.
3. Why we process it, and our legal basis
Contact form and email content are processed on the basis of consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering correspondence addressed to us. Server logs are processed under legitimate interest for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. Optional analytics and functional cookies are set only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential storage keeps the site working — remembering your consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every page. Analytics cookies help us understand which guides are useful. Functional cookies remember display preferences such as distance units. A full inventory, including duration and purpose, is set out in our Cookie Policy, together with instructions for clearing or blocking cookies in your browser.
5. Third-party processors
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions under written terms:
- Web hosting and content delivery — serves these pages and maintains security logs.
- Email provider — receives and stores correspondence sent to our addresses.
- Privacy-focused analytics provider — produces aggregate traffic reports, active only where you have consented.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising brokers, and we do not transfer it to travel companies. Where a processor operates outside the UK or EEA, transfers are covered by an approved transfer mechanism such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We can name the current providers on request to our data protection contact.
6. Retention
Contact correspondence is kept for up to 24 months from the last message in the thread, so we can follow up on an itinerary question or trace the history of a correction, then deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months. Aggregated analytics reports contain no identifying information and may be kept indefinitely. Your locally stored cookie choice persists until it expires or you clear your browser storage.
7. Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU or EEA you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify your records. We respond within one month; if a request is complex we will tell you and may extend by a further two months. You will not be charged for a reasonable request.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first — most issues are misunderstandings we can fix quickly. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: in the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU it is the authority in your country of residence.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to correspondence is limited to editorial staff who need it, protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and we ask you not to send sensitive documents by email.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our tools or in the law. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already sent us will be communicated by email where we hold an address for you.
